ICED SOUND
20:45 – Kino Rex
Iced Sound tells the story of glaciers in a state of disappearance. For over three years, Landolt has been listening to alpine glaciers melting and freezing, documenting this through field recordings, and collaborating with musicians who improvise on site to the sounds of the glaciers. In collaboration with Samuel Weniger, the result is a collection of sounds and recordings that bring hidden glacier caves to light, and barely audible sounds to the centre of our attention. A sound-image that in slow motion transcends to an imaginary dream and gives the glacier a voice. Iced Sound opens the 16th edition of the Festival der Jazzwerkstatt Bern.
