JAZZWERKSTATT BERN SOLO NIGHT
NÂR
AKRAM HAJJ
Thursday, 25 June 2026
PROGR, Sonarraum U64
doors: 19.30h – concerts: 20.30h
The clubs are enjoying their summer break, the open-air festivals are still busy setting up their tents, and yet the Jazzwerkstatt Bern is hosting a Solo Night as a sort of interlude. And there’s a good reason for that: Nadia Daou, guest curator of the Jazzwerkstatt 2023 and a dear friend from Beirut, is currently on tour with Akram Hajj.
Nadia, aka NÂR, travels the world with an old watch case; her music is as sharp as it is fragile, sounding at times like the early shift at a steelworks, and at others like morning dew. Akram Hajj also played at Jazzwerkstatt years ago, when he defied the laws of physics with Nadia and the Mad Laboratory of Anti Matter. Coming from the Lebanese post-rock scene, Akram is a multi-faceted improviser.
Tickets are available through PROGR Bern or at the ticket office
